Day 35 - the best laid plans of mice and men

Judging by the response i got from the last blog... you guys are reading the blog and liking it.

The Kasia issue is now vapor as i made it an issue that really wasn't. it seems that while i was typing the last blog my phone had completely died as the battery charger is not working well. I got a vmail and a text message the next morning while i was on my way to drop off some movies at blockbuster. Kasia called me and we spoke briefly and i told her i'd see her later as she wanted to call her Mom as she does ever saturday.

Im my way back from Blockbuster i decided to head over to Hoboken cigars to have a couple of nice hand rolled. the roller BOMBA has always greeted me the same way. "How Ju doie, Danny?" Good bomba thanks for asking. Univision blared in the background as dozens of gorgeous latin girls danced. Bomba showed me his baseball card, he used to play for the Detroit Tigers in 1983. I told him everytime i came into the store i took pictures of him and i want to make him a poster someday with all the pictures his baseball card and the hoboken cigar company logo. After a glass of Port and 3 cigars (2 Cognac and one Arturo Fuente Robusto) i thought to myself Is heaven Hoboken cigars on a lazy saturday with a cognac cigar and the show CALIENTE on ... I think so.

On Sunday- Kasia and i met Bobby for Brunch. i had some fruit and yogurt and both Kasia and i had egg whites. Bobby had some great pancakes and we had a good time making fun of the waiter who fucked up on pronouncing the special. Bobby had to practice for a gig and so Kasia and i made our way to the PATH train as i had band practice so i had to take the train to Hawthorne. We had a terrible practice. I broke a string and there was various fuckups all around. After practice Akil, Dino, Yoko and i went for dinner at this pizza place we always go to. Fresta joined us and we were talking about laying cable (aka taking a dump) as we ate SOOOOO MUCH. even Akil, i was proud of him as he never eats! After dinner we stopped at the Mobil near Dino's to grab coffee. I love Green mountain coffee and its the only place i've seen around that has it and those great international flavored creamers (CHEAT DAYS RULE!) i had a pumpkin spice with 1 amaretto and 1 french vanilla creamers. it was a delicacy. Back at Dino's we chilled until 9:45. Dino's dad came downstairs and we were joking around about the usual shit. its so funny that I look so forward to not only practicing with MM as the band is so fun to play with but its also the before and after hanging with Dino and family. My thought is if you dont have a good base of friends and family around to keep you sane no matter how much money or material things you have it means nothing. if you told me i'd give you $10,000 and you cant chill with your buddies and talk about dogs shitting on your foot or hanging with cousins and talking about the best Proscutto y Mozzarella sandwich you ever had. I'd tell you take that money and see much of it you can stuff up your ass to become a human pinata.

p.s. Kasia got the champagne said about the truffles "they are the best thing i have ever had" you are my MISIOU "Polish for Teddy Bear".... IM A SAP FOR POLISH CHICKS!!

Day 34- POP... your blogs are getting boring lately

im gonna have to agree with that one. my blogs have been boring lately. maybe i need to spice it up somehow. rather than report on the good things happening maybe i should reflect on EVERYTHING that happens to me that day.

Today i hung out with Eric. We went to Corner Bistro and it was good to chill with him as i hadn't hung with him in a while. Corner Bistro is well known as having the best burgers in Manhattan. we gobbled down a burger and quickly looked at each other and said IM STILL HUNGRY. it seems the portions are smaller than advertised. Eric wanted to meet up with Dino as Dino is working on a website for Rick. so we headed over to MTV and met up with him and Fresta. we headed over to virgils and bullshitted for a while. Fresta is working with Dino now at MTV. that kid is going to take the graveyard shift from 9PM to 4AM... shit i couldnt do it.

After Virgils, Eric and i went to Touscher' chocolate maker in Rocafeller Center so i can get my Aunt Mary in Brooklyn these chocolates i know she likes i got them for her for Easter one year. I got Kasia some as well because shes my sweety. Eric and i split a 2 pack of champagne truffles and he immediately went back in and bought Sonja a 30 pack. At First, Eric was like "what the fucks the difference between this and a snicker bar danny boy... I go RICK... BITE INTO THAT FUCKING THING. its like comparing a ford to an aston martin, no comparison. Eric was telling me how in his new realty business this old realtor in Saratoga is bad mouthing him saying hes young and inexperienced, i said rick (erics nickname) you can pitch a prospective client like this would you rather go with a throughbred or a horse thats going to the glue factory... its your choice. Eric got a kick out of that. After that conversation we went out seperate ways as Eric had to meet Sonja for some plans. I really enjoyed hanging out with him as hes a good human being who has great drive. its something to be admired.

I had to meet my cousin Pat at Microedge (sub company of my company) i was 30 minutes early so i walked into Manhattan Jaguar and Land Rover and was this close to getting a Range Rover. the payments were steep 800 a month for a decked out Range Rover. and they said they could push me through even with my credit (which has holes but my 6 year employment at my company usually balances it out. I walked down thinking maybe i should go the preowned route but man oh man my dream of buying a car in a lot in Manhattan will become a reality soon! Pat met me downstairs on 54th and 11 and we walked to the train bullshitting about how broken hearted we are about the Yankees. Pat is such a kind soul and i always ask him for advice because we talk everyday and i value him as not only my elder and wiser cousin but i value him as a human being. He always tells me i never write about him in the blog. well patterson someday u will get a full day devoted to you on my blog. Roy Rogers chicken SAWDUST and all is better than KFC you are right :)

Small bullshit on the Kasia front - Kasia was going to come over after work but she was tired. I asked her to call when she got home and i recieved no call... Trust factor is waning.. or maybe im reading too much into it. I dont want anyone to think shes untrustworthy. I just am new to trusting people as a whole. I dont know why i never give anyone the benefit of the doubt and i dont want that insecurity to ruin any potential future with her. When she called to cancel on hanging out i was a bit cold in my responses for two reasons 1) i dont like speaking to her when shes at work because i dont want her to get in trouble and 2) i had this underlying feeling that maybe she had other plans and didnt mention them to me. Maybe im being a tad insecure about the whole thing but i am on trust alert with her until my trust is renewed.

This blog is my therapy because i dont know all the answers to things that happen to me. I think my friends and family can understand this and realize that tonights events are isolated and i hope that everyone doesnt think ill of me or her its just how i feel at the moment. I dont want to be overbearing or smothering so maybe i should let this thing go. i also dont think i want to give her the truffles i got her because i dont condone the non call back tonight. so why reward it.

p.s. thanks Jenny, i hope this isnt as boring as my usual blog :) i love you bunny!

Day 32 - MVS Aunt Grace, Flannel Sheets, and Arlenes Grocery

Monday Morning
When you see greatness up close you need to be in shock and awe and just how good someone is at a certain thing. For instance Michael Jordan playing basketball, Tiger Woods playing golf, Aunt Grace in a grocery market. I am taking this week off to recoup and recharge the batteries and my aunt was in town so me, bobby, schkupp went shopping. First we went to linens and things as aunt grace wanted to get jen some things. I got a flannel comforter and my aunt grace unbeknownst to me until we got outside got me flannel sheets set (OH SO TOASTY!! i am typing in my sheets right now and am loving life) I cashed in some coins i had (105 bucks worth) and used them to buy groceries. I had the great fortune of seeing my aunt grace go shopping at A and P. it was amazing the way she darted in between each aisle and attacked each section like she was Serena Williams in a tennis match. I watched with my mouth wide open as the produce section fell victim to her grocery strategy which would make Kasparov in a chess game blush. all in all a great day and my aunt grace rules!

Monday Evening
That night i put my new sheets on my bed. did some cardio then was text messaging my baby Kasia. i had messaged her on her phone the horoscope of the day where it said to hang out with a special friend that night. and then i told her i was taking a walk. When i got to hoboken, i text messaged her from across the street of where she works and said Look outside. I smiled at her, and then walked down the street as i sent her another message that said i'd walk her home after she gets done with work. I went to Blockbuster to kill time (it was 10:15 and she gets out at 11) i rented a BUNCH of movies and just hung out at Mile Square for her to meet me. At the bar a girl was flirting with me asking me dumb questions like "Do the Yankees play in the Bronx?" do they have Blue and Grey uniforms, she was making conversation, i was nice but saw through it. As the annoying questions mounted, my Kasia walked in and thats where the girl talking stopped and turned a little red. it was ackward but i wasnt paying attention the Yankees were losing.. (they lost 3 games in a row... 3-3.. THEY BETTER WIN GAME 7) I walked her to the train and we just talked about our days and talked bout what we want to do Wednesday (her day off)

Tuesday Morning - did some cardio and tris and shoulders. as i was doing tri's i noticed that this lady was doing cardio while watching the Food Network. The lady was making deserts on the show while this poor girl was killing herself on the treadmill. IS ANYONE SEEING THE IRONY OF IT ALL?

Tuesday Evening - i went into the city to watch Bobbys band play. on the way there i got a taxi from WTC. the cabbies name was Emmanuel. and we were talking about how young people these days have no role models. He was a former inmate of some kind and turned his life around and bought a building on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. He was opening a clothing store so he can be a good teacher to black kids in the neighborhood. when i hear stories like this i feel that maybe there is some hope for humanity as i find society at large wanting. RANT TIME - how else do you explain the lack of morality and all out lack of faith in these times. Obesity is at its biggest number of all time because folks are expecting things to be easy. why cook? why exercise? why leave that couch and make a difference. who knows? When i got to Arlene's i wished Emmanuelle good luck in his pursuits and walked into Arlenes to catch Bobby playing. this was the first show that both bobby and my bands had played in the same place and it was cool. I joked with Jen and Jen that this place was "old hat to me" as we played there Sept 27th. Bobby was solid and the band sounded great!

I recieved a text message from my girl saying "missing you my handsome" Life is good...

WEEKEND EDITION - Band Photos, New Girlfriend and Dukes

As any saturday starts for me it usually is me waking up splashing water on my face and realizing that the weekend has just started and i wish i had more time in my life to enjoy the small things. Mad Machinery was set to do band photos with a friend of Dino's that he used to work with at MTV, so i met Dino up there an hour each way for 20 minute photo shoot (hey man the band rules if you dont think so click this and be the judge We were taking the usual "lineup" shots against a brick wall with Akil and I on opposite ends as we are the tallest in the group. we were sitting on the wall in one picture and the photographer says to me "hey do you want to adjust yourself..." I said "no baby, its rock and roll". Ed (bass) is a funny kid he was saying "we're a christian boy band" which was hilarious. Ed's girl thought the green sweater jacket i was wearing wasnt cool and said i should wear the black shirt underneath instead. good call! Akil and this friend of his drove me to the train and we were bullshitting about playing gigs and such. his friend was a nice girl.

Saturday evening - i got a black blaser and some cologne from Hugo Boss (Baldesari) the girl at the counter was nice and i told her i never think that cologne sticks to me well enough and she recommended the Hugo Boss and it smells amazing so i bit the bullet and bought it. I was meeting my Kaska (Kasia or Kaska is pronounced similarly in Polish) at 11:45 to head into the city and hit a lounge and club. we were to meet in the Platform in Hoboken and so i got ready at 10:00 listening to techno pumping me up! Boarding the train to Hoboken i noticed that the 5 o clock shadow thing is working good on me i may keep it but i doubt it as it gets itchy. at 11:45 my Kasia came down the steps the exact time the train hit the station, so as always our timing was incredible.

We arrived at the 14th street stop on the path and walked over to the Vento in the meat packing district. she was holding unto me very tightly as it was extremely brisk out. Outside of Vento we saw Dan Ackroyd coming out which was cool (i actually liked Dr Detroit really...!!) we waited about 2 minutes on the line then got right in (benefits of me being so dashingly handsome and my lady being 5'9 and gorgeous) we went in ordered a couple of drinks (gin and tonic and a grey goose vanilla and ginger ale) the place was packed to the nines and i really couldnt enjoy my time with her as i couldnt hear a word she was saying (tinitius and i cant read lips) so we headed to a couple of other places then she stayed with me in JC. I asked her to be my girl "officially" as i have very strong feelings for her and her to me. sometimes you can just tell by someones body language and outward behavior if they are into you for real. her answer was "I would love to". She was laughing hard when i asked her if she snored jokingly. i am a light sleeper so that's why i asked i want to make sure i got sleep.

Sunday morning - in the morning, me and my Babka (pet name for her) went to oddfellows for brunch and i had to cut it short as i had to go to Hawthorne by 1:48 for practice in yonkers (geez im a world traveler) i met Dino in Hawthorne and we grabbed some drinks and headed to Primetime to rehearse. Ed was outside waiting when we got there and we went in as Akil was practicing with his other band 6 dawg from 1-3, we had 3-5PM. we met Froggy (akils bassist who had a trachetomy) and Flipper Brick who shook our hands and it was good to meet "the other woman" in Akil's life so we can see the "competition". Practice was great, the JCM 900 amp i used was killer although it didnt have a clean channel for playing undistorted. we ran through the set and Ed, me, and Dino wrote 3 parts to a new riff that we are piecing together for a new song (stay tuned). After practice, Akil, Dino, and I hit Mcdonalds (CHEAT SUNDAYS!) i had a double cheeseburger and cried with every bite as i miss fast food. at the table, i asked Akil about his cool friend, and he said funny you say that she was asking about u..... now you are reading this and saying to yourself... DONT BE A DOG DAN, you are with Kasia... yes this is true but it is always this way... FEAST or Famine... either i win big or I lose big, never inbetween. my feelings for Kasia are very deep in such a short period of time but i cant deny any friendships or closing doors until i know what is out there... yes Dan is being selfish for once. After Mickey Bones (tm Fabian Camacho 2004) we were on the way home and i got a call from 97 to which i didnt answer as i am trying to not make her the forefront topic as it pains me deeply. listening back to the message, her brother passed away and she said to me and i tell u because u say i never tell u anything so i had to call her and say im sorry for her loss and if she needs to chat i am a call away. i am not evil and would never wish ill on anyone or turn on someone who is suffering thats what makes someone human and not a scumbag (i.e. Lemon).

Dukes - Bobby, Skupp, and i met up in the city as they were helping the band Mudvayne for a video. we watched the yankee game (yankees lost) and had the most amazing cake i've ever had its called Chocolate Coca Cola cake. we were like 3 young lions attacking a gazelle we devoured that within 2 minutes and demolished two buckets of Lone Star beer (yummy). there were 3 boston fans at the bar and we were heckling them like crazy. our server was a cool girl who lives in Journal square so we were bullshitting with her about living in JC etc. after 12 innings we were tired and went home joking and making up new noises like BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.... it doesnt take much to make us laugh!

Football - POPFL -i beat my cousin Pat this week and its bitter sweet as hes my main man and his team is awesome

Day 29 - Roc and Chris

My Friend Josh (aka J-ROC) came and visited me as he was in town consulting. Josh moved from NY to Arizona and i've known him for a while. Josh and i were the youngest people working at Comedy Central (18 and 20 respectively). we were wide eyed and raring to take on the world. Fast forward 6 years still wide eyed but a little more wise to the world and cautious in any undertaking. Josh is married to Jeni and they have a child named Aaron who is my lil buddy and i hope someday will play for the Jets or Giants because hes Linebacker material. Josh and I met my old roommate Eric for sushi at Hatsuhana. We were discussing an old business idea we had back in the dot.com days called trendmecca and how we were the smarter for having gone through that. Josh crashed at my place and we bullshitted most of the evening. Josh is the type of person that indirectly challenges you to be great as he is extremely intelligent and takes the time to explain things because he is genuine and wants the person he is speaking to to understand fully whatever the subject may be. He has this quality about him that makes any person who works with him as i did at Comedy, feel they are accomplishing goals rather than sputtering around in a haze. It is an honor to call him friend and hopefully someday we can work together on a project (game!!!)

Today i was on my way home and wanted to do some shopping as Mad Machinery has a photo shoot tomorrow and i wanted some grey jeans and a t-shirt. I also have a date with Kasha. I went to Union Square to pick up jeans at Diesel and i get a call from Chris. He's like whats up, and i hear a car honking on the phone at the same time that was honking near me. I asked Chris where he was and he said Union Square. Synchronicity... we met up and walked down to Dean and Deluca to get some coffee and were talking about Fantasy Football (Poor CHris is 0-5 and im doing shitty too 2-3), Steuben, and life in general. Chris and i have the same sense of humor just very out there and wacked out. Everyone of the Steuben Boyz have it to a certain degree. Chris and I passed by this girl staring at her watch outside the movie theatre and Chris goes "he's late again?" it was hilarious she looked at him like he's right WHAT AN ASSHOLE. we were dyin! Chris has connections at this hot lounge restaurant called Level V in the meatpacking district so hes gonna hook me up for my hangout with Kasha. thanks dude!

Day 28 - The Yankees Win!!!!

For every Papandrea there is a happy place in our collective brains and that is in Yankee stadium during the LCS when the Yankees are winning and the Red Sox are cursing the fact that they are missing that "piece" every year to put them over the top.

The Yankees are the American dream. For every person who's percieved vision of how life is supposed to be, the Yankees accomplish those dreams. When the Yankees win we all do. Every win makes our ambitions, goals, dreams, and hopes as attainable and clear as the air we breath.

The white N.Y. logo on a blue hat, the pin stripes on a white jersey, the words NEW YORK on gray are comforting to us like a sunday dinner of macaroni and gravy at our parents house. We have embraced the team because deep inside we wish we all were kids again playing baseball in Liberty on Labor day, imitating swings trying not to break a window.

This blog is for you New York Yankees and you Papandrea's, because the Yankees show us how to win, and the Papandrea's are winners.

Day 27 - Kabab's and Sabon

Joe came over in the morning and we took his new truck "Mean Joe Black" to Bertucci's to visit that no assed kid Bobby. he was making this bread over there called Pesto bread thats thin like a cracker and has amazing flavor. Joe ordered a pizza and i ordered a baked salmon which was a delicacy. Bobby couldnt talk much so i thought of new and inventive ways to give him the finger. he thought it was funny.

Joe gave me a ride into the city which was cool as he was going to visit our old roommate Eric. In the office i finished up some mundane items and was bullshitting with Mikey about life in general he was happy as Aetna was trying to fuck him over on some hospital bills but they ended up taking care of it. i was happy for him.

Kasha and I met up after work she was late as there was a train delay so i headed to Guitar center to see if there was any new guitars and played some accoustic while i waited. At 7:20 she arrived and we met up to go a Arabic placed called Salaam. we started with a great Alsacian Riesling white wine which was amazing, fruity and crisp perfect for the mos kier (yogurt, mint, and cucumber dip) and chicken kababs. She enjoyed the place and we talked a lot as the wine was powerful :)

We walked from 14th and 6th down 6th and stopped at this great soap store called Sabone and i got her and me a loofah soap which is soap with loofah spone inside it its good for exfoliation (METEROSEXUAL!!!) she was very happy as the scent she picked was Vanilla Cinammon and it smelled great. We walked down 6th then cut over to Mcdougal and visited the Olive Tree where my friend from high school Heather lives. we had a drink and said hello to Heather as shes such a cool girl the walked down to West Broadway and i showed her this place i like to shop and tan.

She came over last night and we watched a movie and it got late so i called her a car home. everyday i like her more and more... we'll see how it goes. I am happy as although shes from a world away we have a lot in common and approach life the same.

Day 26- Seven of Hearts

Today i awoke and did 45 minutes of Cardio while watching all the football i missed while at Band practice. Rocky beat me by almost 50 points... there goes my unbeaten streak (dames they do mess up ur legs ROCK!!!- Micky in Rocky 2 said that) I had high hopes but my team just came up short.

On my way to the office (brisk autumn morning i love!!!) i stopped at BR to get some sweaters and pants for the week and my trip to SF on the 27th. I got brown pants and olive shirt for a fall like ensemble' (can someone call Queer Eye please?- p.s. that show blows....) At work it was very quiet today just dealing with logistical bullshit and the usual Monday Misery. Kasha called me at 4 briefly as she works on Mondays as well and it was Columbus day and her restaurant gets really packed. She said that she bought shoes and said I'd like them which was sweet. i told her you can wear flipflops and i'd like them no matter what. She also said she got free tickets to see the actor Danny Aiello in Atlantic City sing. She had to go but we made plans to hang out tomorrow. I was thinking all day of places to take her, i am bored of taking her to places to eat so i've been racking my brain all day figuring out whats a cool autumn place for us to chat and enjoy each other company.

On the way home from work i went to the Newport mall and got some insoles for my brown shoes and another sweater from the Man's limited. one of the sucky parts of losing 65 pounds is you have to buy all new winter clothes or i'd look like a hoodlum with a sweater down to my knees and pants too stout. I walked home down Steuben and in the street i saw a playing card face down... i turned it over to reveal a 7 of hearts. Seven is my lucky number so maybe this is god's way of saying putting Kasha in your life is my gift to you or....................... you need to date another 7 chicks then you'll find true love. Aint that a bitch.

WEEKEND EDITION - Money tests, Saki bombs, Mortal Kombat and Mad Machinery

A better way to blog the weekend is probably to do Saturday and Sunday in one fail swoop i think that is the best way to soak up the weekend. experience all the the happenings and take time to digest all thats happened.

The above picture is a funny shot Ashley (Dino's girl - Dino is my bro and bandmate in Mad Machinery www.mad-machinery.com) we took to get a reaction out of Dean. Ashley aka Yoko has a great sense of humor and we took those pictures one time while we were on a Halo marathon and stir crazy at 1AM. Good friends, family, and shared experiences are the foundations of everlasting memories. Why i include this? well read on brave reader!

Saturday morning Kasia and i met at my place (she had to work at 3:50) and shared sliced Gala apples and a touch of Sheridan liquor, which is half coffee liquor half cream. it makes a perfect mudslide as the liquor seperates in the glass. it was one of my favorite drinks to serve to friends when i bartended (briefly in Oneonta. She saw a picture of Joe and Ant on my fridge and asked if i was married... ?? i replied no hon, thats my brother. she asked are you twins? i replied yes if my mom was in labor for 5 years to which she laughed. after this we headed to Babo a tea place located in Pavonia newport on the way there she was holding my arm tightly and initating contact - a sign of interest (pleasantly surprised by this) we walked from Exchange Place to Newport discussing how nice the weather is and finding out more about her life in Poland. I decided earlier in the day to give her a test and see if she into me for what i provide for her or me in general, At Babo it was time to put my plan in action but before i could she started telling me a story. She was at work yesterday and a guy and a girl were on their first date, it seems this guy ditched this girl and didnt pay the bill (scumbag move, even if u dont like the girl at all... consider it a loss and move on being a gentleman my theory) i said to Kasia "that is a scumbag... how do u feel about that?" i made my manueveur and didnt have to apply the full test as she thank god said first date is always the guy takes care and if the girl doesnt even offer she is a "low person" i almost kissed her immediatly right there i was ecstatic but i kept it calm then waited and kissed her anyway... as the bill came she picked it up and tried to pay... i intercepted her and took care of it. we are still in the courtship stage... those things are still my responsibility so the principle and test was answered but coincidental and weird that she mentioned that story as the timing was amazing... we are on the same wavelength and i enjoy her more and more everyday.... as Robert Plant once said though the course may change sometime rivers always reach the sea. no greater lyric has been said IMHO.

Saturday Afternoon - After taking Kasia to the train and wishing her a great day i hung out with Bobby who was going to his cousins bachelor party. I don't see Bobby much these days as he works a lot and is heavy duty planning his wedding like a good little wife (enjoy that line Bob because i know you enjoy the blog bud!... just seeing if your paying attention :) We explored one mode of Mortal Kombat which is Kombat Chess. This is where u play a regular game of chess but when you take a piece you have to fight in Mortal Kombat to take the piece we were having a great time then Bob had to leave to catch his ride to the bachelor party. After bobby left i tried to catch some winks before this party that Dino had told me about.

<<<<<<<<<<< Comic by Ashley "Yoko" Henderson >>>>>>>>>>

Saturday evening My usual waiting spot for waiting for people is Starbucks. I find that if i kill a grande' vanilla iced coffee my brain seems to function either more contemplative or more manic so Saturday night i thought a little of both would be right what the doctor ordered. I sat facing out the front window and i saw a peculiar site. A girl was embracing her man tightly and with all the passion i've seen anyone show another human being. her arms tightly around his waist as her ears into his chest listening to his heartbeat and what was the guy doing during this obviously poignant public display of affection...... Chatting with a buddy on his cell phone............. Love is dead everyone... LOVE has been replaced by night and weekend minutes.

Dino and Yoko called and we met outside St Marks 88 a divey but really cool sushi/saki bar on 10th and 2nd. We walked inside and took our place at the back table saying whats up to the guy throwing the party. After bullshitting for a bit our boy Manny came in to which he looked directly at us then pretended he didnt walked to the back then back to us, it was a packed room maybe he didnt see us but im sure my pupils are white if you are less than 5 feet away from me (new contacts perhaps?) After eyeballing a bunch of really good looking girls (im not with anyone yet!! hold your horses everybody!) manny said the magic words, you want some Saki POP? BONZAI!!! another challenge from a Karwreck member (manny's band) and so Emmanuel and i went shot for shot of warm saki' He stopped at 8, i drank his last 2 small glasses and when the dust cleared we were 3 medium bottles of saki down... needless to say the buzz was on. There are two words in the english dictionary when put together mean either trouble or euphoria... these meant both SAKI BOMBS... Manny, the birthday guy (dont know his name, works with Dino and Manny) and i did Sapporo and Saki bombs captured in the above comic by Yoko. We walked out and on the way out i noticed a dark haired girl wearing 7 jeans and a black top i walked over to her friend and pulled out a line from back in teh day "hey hon, don't believe a word this girl says" they laughed and i was flirting with them something fierce Saki always makes me a bit crazy so those girls were laughing and enjoying it. Alas i didnt have time to close any deals as we were heading to a party with some bandmates of Manny's. At the party the aforementioned Karwreck member who thought he could outdrink me at our Arlene's show was there and i went to say hello and he said something to the effect of yeah... shut up.. i was like dude make the move.... im sure i would own u in less time than in would take for you to wax your fucking legs you little bitch (saki and testosterone...!!! YEAH!!) he walked away like a bitch and thank god as we play with Manny's band a lot in the future and i didnt want any ackward situations if i beat the piss out of that fucking moron. Unfortunately up the steps i stepped on Yoko's foot accidently so we left the party and headed back to my place to play some MK-Deception. Dino usually plays things on the accoustic in between games to keep from being bored. He starts playing Ennio Mariccone' Ecstasy of Gold (the good the bad and the ugly) and goes he man you know what song this is? i go yeah Ecstasy of Gold, he goes you know why im playing it???? BECAUSE IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS... it made literally no sense whatsoever but we were dying over it for the rest of the weekend as i took the trip back to Hawthorne with Yolk and Dean so i didnt have to take the train on Sunday morning early. On the way to Dino's we saw someone hitting the guard rail and bouncing off so we pulled over and called 911 and waited for them to arrive. The guy broke his finger and so the cops let us go as we didnt see the actual accident... SLEEP wasnt deprived... THANK GOD we were exhausted.

Sunday - Band practice was a disaster from my perspective. Everyone else was amazing but i felt my tone was shitty and i couldnt keep the Jackson in tune. I think i may have to look into a new guitar sooner than later. We were jamming on some Metallica which sounded amazing. After practice we went to Habachi at Gasho of Japan which was delicious but strangely i couldnt eat much at all. The Ninja cups rules as Joe and I got a buddah cup 5 years ago for cousin Jerry's confirmation at Gasho in Middletown. After Gasho and practice, we went back to Dino's grabbed some green moutain coffee and played MK-Deception and Dino got pissed because i kept doing 5 move combo's with his most hated foe Sub Zero. I was getting 30% damage and Dino was complaining he couldn't block... nice try novice better luck next time (its about time i win in games, this kid has been handing me my ass in Halo for months and the best part is that PUNK played that game at my apartment FIRST then he became great at it). Below is a picture of Dino's nemesis and my buddy Sub Zero.

Day 23- Slow day and Whole Foods

I used to wake up and feel like the world was chasing me... now i feel like i'm chasing the world.

After doing my final workout of the week, Chest (rockwell, BOOGIE NIGHTS) i headed into the office. Typically i take the Path train to 33rd then the Subway to 42nd then i take the 7 to Grand Central (wow a lot of trains... after 6 years its like i run on automatic) Today i walked from 42nd Bryant Park to 3rd Avenue. As i was walking i noticed that i was getting a look from a girl walking towards me. I smiled and she smiled back... just my luck Its FEAST OF FAMINE with Danny boy. never a dull moment.

At work Mikey's grandma makes him food every week and sometimes she makes an extra plate for me of the most amazing cuban food i have ever eaten. Picadillo (ground beef) and veggies. it was delectable! After work i headed down 5th and stopped at Modell's in herald square to pick up some new under armour for working out. I love their cloths technology. its amazing you sweat for hours yet u still stay cool. The have winter sweatshirt versions of their shirts so i wanted to buy one for when i join a gym in the city or hoboken as i think im outgrowing the one in the building and its good to change your excercises around so you can attack the muscles differently everytime. Modells didnt have what i want so i walked down past MSG and FIT to Whole Foods.

Whole foods is a unique and vital store for anyone looking to eat healthier. The fruits and veggies are always fresh and there is good customer service folks there. I am addicted to making peanut butter in the machines they have there. Ever since my coworker and buddy Brian came to stay with me for 2 weeks we used to hit Whole Foods for their peanut butter. so i can blame that clown for my addiction!

Day 22 - Back to Reality

When you walk amongst the clouds, it is sometimes good to get your feet back on the ground so that you can enjoy the clouds more - Deep thoughts by "Dan Handy"

Today was a late day for me i awoke at 8:30 hit the gym and did biceps quick 3 sets of 10 reps. alternating dumbell curls, dumbell curls and reverse curls . I went to the gotham deli and got 3 egg whites on wheat toast and devoured it on my way to the PATH train. Lately the amount of food i injest is increasing as im building more and more muscle and fat burns faster on me. The diet is the most important thing to this. U can excercise all u want but if you dont diet correctly u will not get the results u want. This means at least 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound. I'm 190 now and i ingest 200 grams of protein a day. i feel like im eating constantly but im not im just eating every 2 1/2 hrs.

At the office, Mikey and i had to head to seacaucus to setup some servers for SF. we were in and out so we hit the outlets across the street because Mikey needed boots. This sales girl was hitting on me (it was very blatant) but due to my current situation i politely pushed mikey unto her ;) We then headed back to the office and we were hanging a little with Courtney who's a great girl we work with. Courtney is a the only die hard BoSox fan i would ever call a friend.

On the way home i bought Mortal Kombat and NBA live 2003. I remembered that i needed a shower curtain so on the way home i stopped at Bed Bath and Beyond. I wanted to change from the ocean and blue and green motif in my bathroom so i got silver rugs and a great map of the WORLD shower curtain. its good changing things every so often its a good process so that you can cleanse your mind of old thoughts, customs, ways.

I spoke to Kasia briefly as she called me during her break from work. She is excited about Saturday and so am I. too bad she has to work at night, but its cool i may hang with Eric and Sonja. Dino's also doing something but havent heard back on the details.

Day 21 - Kasia and the house that ruth built

Those of u reading this who know me know that it is rare for me to be at a loss for words but for once I am. I am totally and utterly in a state of euphoria (great anthrax album PICK IT UP NOW).

Kasia and i planned to meet at 5:30 on 42nd and 5th, so i bid a fond adieu to Mikey who showered me with good lucks and well wishes. THANKS MIKEY, hes like Mick from rocky! and i got there at 5:10 so i went to get a shoe shine i look up and there was my Kasha. we headed to grand central and grabbed a bite to eat at Naples... YES NAPLES, if you are a special person in my life i will take u there. All my close cousins and friend have been there (YES U PAT, BOB, JEN!). we were discussing what we like and dislike in a partner and we found the lists to be very similar. She had a Napoli salad and i had my favorite roasted chicken which reminds me of my mom's chicken with potato's in the stove. at that point we headed to the 4 train in order to take it to the Bronx and the house that ruth built.

Jammed like sardines on the 4 train we were a little too close for comfort but both Kasha and i didn't mind at all. Our seats as u can tell by the above pictures were NOSEBLEEDS. Thanks Advent sales... APPReACIATE YA! She was so excited and was asking me questions about the game and telling me that she was so happy to be there with me. I got her a Yankee hat and we walked WAY UP to our seats. As we walked in the crown erupted as Jeter hit a home run. U can feel the presence of god when a wave of positive energy washing over you in crowd noise and high fives. Baseball is god's game and the Yankees are on a mission from god ;) Yankee stadium is so storied and when you walk into its hallowed halls you feel like a winner because of how successful the team is. During playoff time its even more intense as you look into the stands and see a sea of Navy blue and grey jerseys and the most recognizable logo in sports the NY. Kasia had never been to a game so when the crowd was chanting MVP MVP when sheffield hit his home run, she asked "what does this mean, this MVP?" i replied "TOP PIEROGIE in Poland is the same as MVP" she laughed.

We left in the 7th inning (the game went to 12 innings) because we wanted to beat the crowd going home. On the train she asked me about my diet and what i do, and she said to me I have to lose weight too (trick question) I said no u don't... u look great! We walked from Union Square to the 9th street path station and i was telling her about this weekend and what i may or may not do. Friday a coworkers birthday, tonight hang with Kev, Saturday hang with Dino, Sunday - band practice. We waited a long time for the train so that gave us more time to talk about life in general and i find it easy to speak to her. We embraced before the train came and she said to me im glad i met you, to which i said "me too".

Day 20 - Kevin, Kasha, and good service

Why is it the world seems better when u can share it with friends both old and new?

On my way to work today i was noticing how incredibly cold it was so i figured now may be a good time to pony up for a jacket. I asked Kev what he was up to and seeing if he wanted to come with.. Kev is a great guy and definitely someone i hit it off with immediately in fact when he was interviewing for my company the Operations person at the time who i was very close to asked me to interview him. I told her i knew Kev from working at a child company of my company and he was a good and responsible person. The interview basically was us bullshitting and I was definitely happy that he got the job as he is great at what he does. We have gotten to be better friends recently because we are close in age and work hard and party harder (i.e. Copacabana etc). We walk out of the Chrysler building and this lady was giving out free cookies for breast cancer. I was in a happy mood so i go to her "As much as i LOOVVVEEE cookies, and as much as I certainly love breasts, i have to decline" Kev was cracking up and we continued unto BR, Kenneth Cole, and Brooks Brothers. At Brooks Brothers, Kevin and i went up the escalator and saw bowties on manniquins we both had the same reaction, i said to Kevin "yo dude if you ever see me with a bowtie... ask no questions SHOOT ME and dispose of the body quick". We saw someone that used to work with Kevin and I and i got a wool heavy sweater to put over my current sweater in order to hold off the cold. Kev took me to a great leather jacket place... amazing deals i was about to buy one (brown leather) but i want to wait until it gets a little colder. On the way back to the office, Kevin said something i thought was great, hes like working with u is definitely a perk of the job. the feeling is definitely mutual.

I called Kasha to confirm what time we would meet up at 1:04PM. I kind of panicked at first because she didnt call me back until 3:30 (VIRGO!!!) . I told her to meet me in Union square at 6:30. After finishing up my day i got on the 4 train to Union Square and headed to Starbucks as i had 15 minutes to kill. i walked out of starbucks and there she was. yet again this girl surprised me and we kissed hello and went about walking to Sushi Samba on Park. On the way to sushi samba we were joking around and talking bout living in the city etc.

We had the same waiter that i had the last time i headed there and he treated us amazing. I asked about the Prix Fix to which he said no no no, you are a great customer let me prepare a special tasting menu (damn i only went there once...)
The first course was a tower of Kobe beef, Miso Marinated Chilean Sea Bass with Peruvian large corn, and an amazing blue crabcake. Kasha wasnt used to using chopsticks so i fed her until they brought her a fork. the next course was a sashimi, yellow tail and ceviche' tuna. the presentation was impeccable as the plates were the opposite color of the cuisine thus giving a Yin Yang effect. the last course was sushi samba's signature rolls, we had a tuna with lime cilantro and an amazing salmon skin roll with chicken tempura within... AMAZING! Kasha and i were impressed with how great the service was and i tipped the guy accordingly.

Kasha and i walked to the train chatting and talking bout Polish cuisine (pierogies, and all the variations)psycho vegetarian roommates, and the Yankees. She has never been to Yankee stadium which in itself is something i have to remedy.
i am shocked by how strongly i feel for her only after 2 dates. she is amazing. I havent had these strong feelings for anyone since Kryptonite and yet its so soon. We just click and i thank god for putting her in my PATH (no pun intended). I didnt have to put up a facade or act any differently.

On the train i surprised her as i scored two tickets to the ALDS Yanks vs twins at Yankee Stadium on wednesday and she was excited so tomorrow we are hanging again.

Life may be getting more interesting for POP...

Day 19 - Evolution

An earlier version of me would not have been content by the mediocrity of today but that before i got the phone call.

Jason (a friend of mine through Dino) had an extra ticket for Raw at MSG (wwe for all u illiterati) it was great and we had a good time screaming and dodging Pyro.

Tomorrow i hang with Kasha again!

Day 18 - a rose blooms in Jersey and a walk in the park.

My Sister Roseanne came down to visit me this weekend. Her Birthday was Friday and she turned 35. My sister raised me as my folks were working a lot so I owe my movie, TV, and music knowledge to her among other things. I wanted my sister to be able to not worry about the little things and just enjoy herself and maybe get to see the "Dan" version of NYC. We have our little issues but i think they are because we are very alike and try to know as much as we can about any subject we find. In my sister i see a lot of myself. I see someone who deserves only the best things and should feel confident in herself as she is a wonderful human being who's only limitations are self imposed. To my sister with much love i dedicated this weekend to.

She wrote about our weekend in her blog

Kasha and I had a date planned for Sunday as i had called her Friday to setup a hang out. My sister had left at around 11:20 and i had it set to meet Kasha at 1:00. I had an hour to kill so I went to Riviera Bakery in Hoboken and noticed that the girl behind the counter was Polish so i asked her how to say Hello (chess-CH) and How are U (YESH U MESH) , (for those who watch Da Ali G show, I was cracking up because thats what Borat says) after having 2 double espressos i was wired and hit Barnes and Noble to kill time. I bought two books on drawing still objects as i have an idea for a painting for the easel that Joe and Antonette got me for my birthday. I spent about 20 minutes at Barnes and Noble sketching and trying to hone techniques i was reading about in the book and said to hell with it as i wanted to meet Kasha. We were to meet at Starbucks at 1, and CVS is in Hoboken and right next door so i stopped there to get some things for the apartment. I peer down as im reading a shampoo label and as i peer up across from me in the other aisle i see her hazel eyes and we both smiled... weird coincidence.?! She had attacked my senses but i had to keep it cool (ICE COLD!!!!... Outkast Andre 3000 referrence... look it up novice). we kissed hello (european customs rule!!)

We had brunch at Buscars in Hoboken we both had omelettes and were talking about different subjects like age, living alone, clubs, different foods. etc etc. After brunch we headed to a bakery for desert and coffee and chatted some more. We discussed tanning (im a new expert since my weight training and reading arnolds book i am well versed in the UV world) then headed to Frank Sinatra park. We have a lot in common personality wise. She is a Virgo and enjoys her order and isnt very neurotic. she's calm in the pocket. i sense some degree of compatibility personality wise but only time will tell.

She had to work at 4 (she works at Tutti Pasta in Hoboken so i walked her to work) she was free on Tuesday so i asked her if she wanted to hang again Tuesday for sushi, she said "definitely" so we'll see what happens. I am optimistic as i enjoy her company and from a primal face value i am DEFINITELY attracted to her.

STEUBEN WEEKEND SPECIAL EDITION

POP
My brother walked up to me in Forest Hills and said we should move to Jersey.... Im like Joe WHAT THE FUCKS IN JERSEY. Joe said its cheap and its right near Hoboken. So per the usual, Eric and Joe went to JC to look at the place. I never went to apartment searchs because we had this theory that i was bad luck in apartment searches rick and joe had found Forest Hills apartment without me so we are sticklers for tradition.

One night when Chris had moved in i had to take a piss so i look in the living room and chris had fallen asleep listening to music in the living room. so i picked him up and put him in his bed. he didnt remember it the next day and he was laughing because i remember he had Weezer OH GIRLFRIEND LOOPED 20x on his mp3 player.

We all used to hit the food court at the mall because we barely made enough to buy a piss pot and since Steuben is on the ground floor there wasnt a window to throw it out. Roy Rogers was a good friend then. his market fresh sandwiches always brought a smile to skuppys face. The day wasnt complete until we hit either Champs for a football jersey, the GAMESTOP for Madden, or the pet store.

Wiffleball and BBQ were summer mainstays of Steuben. One day we had a grueling 9 inning 3 on 3 game. Chris' swing was a thing of beauty, such power... Tony's swing was more Griffey than Bonds, he could turn a curveball into a homer (which mind u is the road before the manischuwitz factory). After a game we'd spark up the Hibachi for Tony's famous marinade (soy infused delicacy) when day while preparing food in the kitchen we left the hibachi on. As we were walking out to put some meat on the Q, we noticed a bum had put his Big Mac on the grill (still in the wrapper) Tony or Chris yelled at him and he skampered off into the night.

Two Shot maximum and Bar one- One fine evening, Chris, Tony and i ended up at this bar called Mcswiggans in Hoboken. We grabbed a beer then asked for a shot of Baileys the bartender kindly poured then went about waiting on other people. after we finished our shots we were still starting out the night so we kindly asked for another round... the bartender turns around and screams at us in irish drall.. U"VE HAD TOO MANY... U'VE HAD 5 SHOTS NOW GO!!!!! We were laughin hysterically as we left Mcswiggans. We ended up at this hip hop lounge called Bar none in hoboken Chris and Tony were talking to some ladies and i saw this brunette looking at me so i talked to her.. long story short i was back in Weehawken having some "serious talks" with this girl and i got a pissed off call from Chris asking me where the fuck i was. i answered with i don't know how im getting home i was so wasted i didnt even know where we lived...

New Years with Guns and CAR BOMBS - Eric, Chris and I were bored before New Years so we met an exgirlfriend of Chris' who went to F.I.T. at the bar near there called the Triple Crown. We were the only people in the bar as that year "99" there was a hell of a storm before New Years. We waited for Chris' ex and had some guiness. Ex girlfriend came in with her friend from school who was from Boston. After introductions we had some drinks and inhibitions slowly left our brains. it seems Boston girl thought highly of her breasts, she referred to them as "GUNS" now i've heard weight lifters and guys who work out refer to their arms as guns... but never had I heard some girl call her tits GUNS! we all commented that way as well to which she holstered her guns and took down her 3rd guiness. Ex said these faithful words that made our night even more interesting "Do u guys know what a car bomb is?" for those who are reading this who dont a car bomb is a shot of baileys dropped into a pint of guiness and quickly guzzled. after 3 each we were plastered and walked back to the PATH train tackling the girls into the snow and chucking snowballs at each other.

ERIC

to reflect back on the good old steuben days. . .. i'm not even sure where to start? the parties, women, the cheap rent with 10 roomates (half related), the women (a psycho, bartender(s) from hoboken, german nannies, the one nighters with ??????, and ???) i would definitely love to relive some of those moments.

dan, remember our trip to visit bobby at 10pm in nj when we took the under age girls out! didn't we show up with a bottle and case of beer for them and then sneek them into bars in hoboken. . .

how about when joe almost became a multi-millionare by sueing burger king when that aftrican american girl threw hot water on him. . ."NO YOU DIDN'T"

anyway, its good to know we all developed from that point on . we need to have another party set up in the next month in honor of the stueben days and dan's good health. . .

BOBBY
Ahhhh Stueben,

1.) nobody could sport the "inebriated Jesus look" better than yours truly. (except for a fat Jim Morrison, and he don't count because he wasn't a Steuben boy.)

2.) 99 cent 24oz. Budweiser's never tasted better.

3.) A floor so comfortable, it could put 1-800-mattress out of business.

4.) EEEEH, EEEEH, EEEEEH, EEEEH....(yo, chris)......half an hour later.....EEEEH, EEEEH, EEEEH, EEEEH, ...(chris!).....an hour later.....EEEEH, EEEEH, EEEEH, EEEEH......(CHRIS, IF YOU DON'T SHUT THAT FUCKIN' ALARM OFF!!!!!.........)

And, I wouldn't trade any of that experience for anything....Ok, yes I would, but you get my point.

FABS, CHRIS, and Tony (unanimous story from all 4 eyewitnesses)
----------------------
"AWOL" - My friend from work Silvia had come and hung out with the Steuben boyz a lot and we were pretty cool with her. Silvia invited us to some party in Newark that we had to wait for Chris to get home from work before we went. Fabian was in town so we waited for Chris to come home. Arriving at our door was Jason a coworker of Chris who seemed pretty cool but was being kinda distant and quiet, he was an ex-marine. We drank a little at 142-144 Steuben then headed over to the party in Newark. We were greeted at the door by a corona some champagne and a buncha girls. Tony, Fabe, Chris, and me were talking to girls and we were dancing and having a great time. We all gave each other the look to say "YEAH DUDE, one of us is hooking up with these Newark chicks... No doubt.. *CRASH*... Hey whats that sound. it seems that Jason chris friend started a fight with a party goer... not only with this not the right person to pick a fight with it was the organizer of the party. The girls got pissed at us for being "friends with Jason" and Chris, Fabe, and I had to talk the guy into not kicking Jason's ass. we head our head low in shame as Silvia drove us back to Steuben unfufilled... to this day the words of one Fabian Camacho (who has captured Jason's face on video) rings truer and deeper than ever "JASON........U FUCK"

PJ Ryans Karaoke -
This was our last hurrah as the First of the Steuben boys to leave was Eric. We got our usual bar stooled table at the new bar in town called P.J. Ryans. Eric was in rare form and had flung boogers unto the back of some chick facing the Karaoke booth. I saw 5 constellations on that black shirt she was wearing as i am not exaggerating there were at least 50 boogers on that black shirt.

We all had at least 3-4 and our favorite SOCO and lime shot and the next thing we know Chris is on stage doing Karoke. Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison was the song and Chris did it justice kicking up his legs and swinging the mic around really working the crowd. he was channeling David Lee Roth that day.

Sckupp (typed this out while calling him at Pizza land)
-------
"Tony T one day had a package delivered to him, i remember all us sitting around the box waiting for him to open it. when he did it was like Xmas the green fell out of the box. I never seen anything like itSo Double T and us went for beers came home and were trying to sleep. Chris came home wasted and yelled at Tony asking where his package was waking everybody up."

"the only other thing i remember is READY BAKES and Budweiser"

JOE

I'll try to stay away for unavoidable subjects of distress and regret. So, lets just start with day one; Eric, Rhett, and I.....The Path, 18 foot ceilings and Prepping Rhett to expect the worst in our background check and old landlord references from Frank Bahar in Forest hills.

Day 1 of living there: Joe and a Co-worker driving in his van unloading Dan and Erics belongings and they were not around. (Negative thought, NAH)

I guess I should address each of the STU Frat with a memory of each:

Dan:
Unreal Tournaments, Dan being the one to egg everyone on so he could totally destroy them, rigged a computer in each room so that we can be near eachother to play. Before the age of wireless, there was a neccessity to run wire from room to room. The Hub was where all the lines would plug into. That hub was in dans room. Is there a touch of symbolism there? Yeah, dan was the hub of stueben. But, my favorite thing about dan and STU, TRIPS TO THE MALL FOR A GOOD MOVIE and the FOOD COURT. Even shopping was fun.

Eric
Besides the more than occasional trip over his dental floss that somehow made its way around that building like an airborne virus, he was the one who brought an element of surprise to our lives. Not knowing who, what and .......well, her name, he wouldn't even know. Eric single handedly kept the print company who manufactured the Car Vouchers from Chase in business. I wish I was in the lumber business all those years, his antics with doors and wood products was unparalleled, I would have been rich from his abuse.

Bobby:
The first unwritten tenant at STU. Although his name didn't appear on any A-1 Property Management Document. Bibs had rights to the keys at STU. He pretty much planted is "no ass" as guest #1. My equal in Anal clean up sessions and the art in "DOING NOTHING" he was a perfect fit. With Dan, Bibs learned how to make fun of himself in a way that nobody could possibly deny as a classic in any book. Lets see, He pissed himself, threw up, banged around corners of the bathroom and celebrated a very Cousin Midevil Times B-day with me and Dan. Also, never completed a meal when Skup was around!

Chris:
The first of the Migrators. Like a flock of Gulls, Chris migrated south to get his chops in the kitchen. Unfortunately, sometimes testing with our color coated frozen meats/Veggies. IE. Green Freezer bags were mine chris.........Why did you do that!!!!!!! Anyway, enter. OUR BELOVED CHRIS AREV ALARM ERA. Faithfully every morning, at 4:30am, Chris would have to get up to prep, I guess I did too, Funny...I never got a pay check for that. Advantages: having someone to make SPAM BOLI's With.....PRICELESS

Mike AKA SHKUP:
A-1 Deli. A picture of Mohamed, Alah and ..........SKUP. A true innovator and Chef, mixing anything, POPCORN/FRUIT LOOPS....Poppadoops. Enhancing the English language with words like; SUMMA'S , PERDISH, OOOLEE. Confusious had nothing on Ol' Shckup...THe only person I know and love that can make so much freaking sense in less than 2 sentences. IE, " I live my life by the second" His engineering of boxes is well known around many parts, Made a nightstand out of a box and sheet and it worked perfectly for him.

Tony:
Was it the ONIONS on his Sandwiches? Margerine on his stake pan? Or was it his laptop on his bed? None of those: It was his wicked curve on his wiffle pitches. Having T-Bone there brought an element of dry sarcasm and you knew he was fucking with you, but you still sat there and listened. Unbelievable. Tapestries, berks and the occasianal package of green from Texas made for an interested spectical amoungst the south half of the huge living room.

Big Bro JOE:
Well Lets try to stay away from bringing up the yoko of STU. Lets just keep it as, temporary insanity. It must have been my CHATTERBOX personality that kept me rolling at STU. Having girls drive down from Boston to visit for a weekend and then kicking her out, or was it the blonde from Deleware that made me laugh. All from the Net. Hence, Jersey Shore Era...working Internet dating sites like they were out of style, thats what I remember. Other things aren't meant to be brought up. Honestly, 1 day in September is the most vivid and thought of day when It comes to STU, besides our great 4 of JULY's and BBQ/WIFFLE GAMES.

I love all of you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

END NOTE

Some are born... All Die... we will always be... STEUBEN. When thinking about all the fun, crazy, stupid, amazing things that happened in that short span of time i thought to myself this blog deserves to be written by all the steuben boys so I crafted an email or called to all my brothers Steuben and asked for an anecdote or story they had from their days at Steuben.

Every day you wake up and your best friends are there to talk to, bullshit with, and grab a beer with. We were each other shrinks, love doctors, older brothers, younger brothers, confidants, and above all else friends. Contrary to every fucking reality show out there the "REAL WORLD" isnt 2 gay guys, 1 nymphomaniac, 2 muscle bound frat guys looking for booze, its Schkupp the youngest of us and all the wiser teaching us all to take everything "10 minutes at a time", its Tony, his dry humor and disciplined way that we all emulated, its Chris off the wall and grab life by the balls attitude and making great things from small, its Bobby's all around positivity, its Eric's love of being social, its Joe's advice, and Fabians presence that is the real world, and i hope i helped everyone by connecting 2 worlds together, Family and Friends. Those two words i hope now are blurred together because for us i'd like to believe we all may have started as one of those but ended up both.

This is our valentine to the old days.
